If helpful, Tesia and Nathaniel are happy to assist with travel arrangements and accommodations — please don’t hesitate to reach out.

OUR LOVE STORY

It all started on Hinge — which Nathaniel deleted after date number two because, as he puts it, “I was all in for her.”

Nathaniel sent Tesia a really kind and intentional first message, which immediately stood out from the others. After looking through his profile, she was especially drawn to how much he clearly cared about his kids, and the matching dog was definitely an added bonus 😅 Despite the Parkville distance, she decided to respond and see where the conversation went.

After messaging for about a week, we met for coffee and ended up talking for hours. Nathaniel later admitted he moved tables four different times before Tesia walked up. In addition to the gift and flowers he brought her, he also brought Banks a little gift from his dog Cashew, which honestly won major points immediately.

Before the first date was even over, Nathaniel had already asked for the second. Before the second date ended, he asked for the third.

From the beginning, it felt different. Nathaniel showed up to every date with flowers and handwritten notes, and he never made Tesia question how he felt. There was an ease to everything between them. For Nathaniel, it quickly became clear that Tesia was “not just different, but extraordinary.” While he still insists she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen (especially her “Disney princess” eyes), what made him fall inlove most was who she was at her core — resilient, loving, optimistic, hardworking, loyal, and “a beautiful soul.”

About a month into dating, we took a trip together with our kids and everything just clicked. Watching Nathaniel as a dad and how naturally he included Alex made Tesia fall even harder for him.

On that same trip, Tesia lost the rental car keys and was convinced she had ruined everything. Nathaniel’s response was basically: “It’s fine. If it’s a problem with a solution, it’s not your problem.” It sounds small, but it made her feel completely safe.

After that, we were pretty much inseparable. Weekends were spent at the lake with our kids, family, and friends, and somehow everything blended together so naturally. Family dinners, Mario Kart tournaments, traveling together, and weekends at the lake quickly became some of our favorite parts of life together.

On Tesia’s birthday, November 14th, Nathaniel proposed during a trip to Napa surrounded by some of her closest friends 🤍 What we love most about life together is how easy it feels. As Tesia says, it feels like “a never-ending sleepover with your best friend.” Blending families isn’t always easy, but ours somehow made it feel natural from the beginning.

Together, we’re most looking forward to continuing to build a life together - making memories with our children (and fur babies), traveling together, and enjoying all the little moments in between. As Nathaniel says, “Of course I can’t wait to grow old with her, but we’re writing a beautiful love story together and I don’t want to just read slowly — I want to savor every word.”
